Water Transfer Printing - How Hydro Imaging Works

Water Transfer Printing has many other names, such as Hydro Imaging and Curve Printing.  First we prep the item to be coated with chemicals, sanding, bead blast or sand blast.  The item is then base coated with the color necessary to achieve the look that you want.  We next take the film (looks like window tint film but thicker) and cut to size and place it in the specialized tank. We spray the film with an activator and dissolve the film and the ink/pattern floats on top of the water in an oil like state.  The item is submerged into the ink which, by the force of the water, is etched into the base coat.  The item is then rinsed for 3 minutes in our specialized rinse station.  The item is then finished in matte, semi gloss or high gloss clear coat or gel coat, wet sanded and buffed to perfection.

The finish is water safe and will last for years to come.
